As per the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance Bill, 2017l, a Resolution Corporation will be formed to look after the insolvency procedure of financial institutions. The Corporation will also have the powers and responsibilities regarding deposit insurance. So far, deposit insurance activity was done by Deposit Insurance Corporation of India which was an affiliate of the RBI.
