Emerging Market Economy

 

The term emerging market economy is used to denote a developing economy with high prospects, economic growth and undergoing industrialization. EMEs are having a per capita income of a middle-income economy.  The classification of emerging market economy was given by then World Bank Economist, Antoine W. Van Agtmael in 1981. Prominent emerging market economies are: India, China, Brazil, South Africa etc.
