BOT is an important Public Private Partnership model for private investment in infrastructure projects. It is a variant of the BOT (Build, operate and transfer) model for Public Private Partnership (PPP) and the uniqueness is that the ownership of the newly built facility will rest with the private party under BOO.
The public-sector partner agrees to ‘purchase’ the goods and services produced by the project on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
