Finance Commission

Finance Commission is a constitutional body formed in every five years to make recommendations about the transfer of central government’s tax revenues to the states and the principle that government its sharing among the states.

Finance Commission is formed under Article 280 of the constitution to recommend the President about the transfer of centre’s tax revenues to the states and the principle for its allocation among the states. Besides these, the finance commission has to make several other recommendations on the issues that the President ask him to do.
