For reference, we use the term IE for indianeconomy.net and LMS for the Learning Management System on Indian Economy. The LMS on Indian Economy is an academic extension service of indianeconomy.net till any change in arrangement is made in future.
Register and user policy
Registered users can access the entire content in the LMS. Content is provided free to the users as of now though the policy may change when operational cost necessitates monetization. Introduction of subscription format means a change in the rights of registered users including free access. IE has the discretion to change its policies on rights and subscription.
On registration, you must provide accurate and complete information and it is your responsibility to update and maintain changes to that information on the relevant pages including the dashboard. Registered users can submit their grievances and suggestions through the helpdesk- helplms@indianeconomy.net.
Rights and complaints
The indianeconomy.net is respecting the rights of the users at higher level. Various policies on privacy, registration, cookies and access gives the users rights. At the same time, the users must agree with the terms and conditions of indianeconomy.net while registering. Here, by registering indianeconomy.net and the LMS, the users are agreeing to the terms and conditions. Violation of copyright policy, privacy policy etc., may give right to the website to terminate the access rights of a registered user.
IE is not responsible for the differential or incorrect perception of issues and development followed by any other authority regarding content. Any judicial matters should be initiated under the jurisdiction of courts in the district of Kochi, Kerala.

Dashboard usage
The registered user can access his dashboard. But user’s right to interface with the support desk will be granted only at the later stage. For the time being, services through the dashboard is limited given the manual cost factor.
User Generated Content
Users can generate contents which can be termed as user generated contents (UGC) including comments and other interactive features that allow interaction between users and the IE. As a user, you are responsible for all the content of any of your UGC that you or we publish.
The content generated under Forum also comes under the category of UGC. It is recommended that the user should follow dignity while making comments and engaging in forums.
The user has the ownership of the copyright in any of his UGC that he publishes in the IE and hence he is free to re-use it. At the same time, the user is granting IE a right (but not an obligation) unlimited in time to publish, re-use, archive, modify, delete or commercially exploit that UGC in whole or in part as we see fit, without any requirement to pay the user for this and with or without attribution to the user. This means that as a user, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use any UGC you publish in whole or in part in any manner and for any purpose whatsoever and without further obligation to you. You also waive any moral rights that you may have in regard to the UGC.
You are financially responsible to us for any claim against us by any third party that your UGC is not in accordance with law/rules or norms. While creating the UGC, the user agree that he will:
- Publish only UGC that is your original content and will not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party.
- Not post, link to or otherwise publish any UGC that is threatening, offensive, indecent or otherwise unlawful.
- Not post comments that are abusive or discriminatory in nature, ie., comments which make attacks on the grounds of race, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Not engage in personal attacks
- not collect or store other users’ personal data.
- Not post or otherwise publish any UGC unrelated to the Forum and its topic.
- Not post anything contains software viruses, files or code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality IE.
- Not restrict or any other user from using the various IE platforms including forums.
Our Responsibilities to you
The IE is responsible to provide you the best services given the time and human resources we have. We hope that you will make suggestions to make the services best fit for you. IE is not financially liable to you about the use or misuse of the content you have accessed.
