The term trade creation is related with free trade agreement. Here, the relative benefit of joining in an FTA is theoretically described under trade creation. Trade creation is the shift of production from inefficient domestic producers to efficient RTA members. As a result of FTA formation, tariff with the FTA partner country may come down; resulting in low price for that commodity imported from the partner country. Hence, the previous domestic producer who charged a high price is displaced.
