Non-trade concerns are the issues related with agricultural trade under the WTO’s Agreement on Agriculture regime, but are not related with agriculture. According to several countries, there are several agricultural issues that are not related with trade. Such issues are to be well accommodated while formulating a trade regime for agriculture.
Major non-trade concerns are: food security, environment, structural adjustment, rural development, poverty alleviation, and so on.
